Tuesdays 7.30-8:45pm DC Casineros’ Salsa class includes a call and response circle dance, with fun turns, footwork and sexy Cuban flavor. The class will begin with a warm-up based in Afro-Cuban styles such as Rumba, Son and Orisha dances and then move into learning both Miami and Cuban calls in the Rueda. Come alone or with a partner. Sharon Mansur

Sharon Mansur is a multi-media dance artist based in the Washington, DC area who focuses on improvisation as a performance form as well as the melding of visual and visceral landscapes. Since 2002 Mansur has directed mansurdance, an ongoing collaborative performance project that integrates choreography, improvisation and experimental multi-media performance in traditional, alternative and site specific venues. Wednesday, February 8 from 10:15am-12:00pm MODERN MIX – This class fuses Modern, Jazz and African movements to create something illuminating. A melting pot of different traditional and technical dance styles make up this class. Erica Smith Gooden is a Philadelphia native who received her B.F.A. in Modern Dance and has had the opportunity to work with noted dance companies New LeJa Dances, Mahogany Dance Theatre, Tania Isaac Dance and Lesole’s Dance Project.
