Perform at Dance Place
Audition for our New Releases Choreographers Showcase
Dance Place's annual adjudicated showcase of new works by established and emerging choreographers from throughout the region. Auditions are currently scheduled for:
Sunday, May 9 @ 9:00am - 5:00pm
Please click here for more information or call (202) 269-1600 to schedule your audition.
Audition for a Resident Company
Dance Place has several professional dance companies in residence,
including Carla & Company,
Deborah Riley Dance Projects,
and Coyaba Dance Theatre. Dancers
are often selected from the class which the choreographer teaches,
and sometimes general auditions are held. If you wish to join
a resident company, the best way to find out more about auditioning
is to take a class to become familiar with the movement and then
ask the instructor directly about openings or auditions for a
particular company. Dance Place also posts notices about auditions
and other opportunities around town and regionally on the Artist
Bulletin Board located just inside the office door entrance on
the first floor.

considered, send a letter indicating your interest and availability
along with a promotional packet and dvd of your work. Your

the season (fall-summer) in which you wish to be presented (i.e.
for consideration in the 2011-2012 Performing Season, send your

Dance Place members. The studio is 40' X 12' and has mirrors,
wood floor, and natural light. Call 202/269-1600 for information
