The Moving Forward Campaign, a $5 million capital campaign, addresses the following three areas that are critical to the future of the organization: Facility Renovation, Program Expansion and Enhancement, and Organizational Stability.

Dance Place is ready to move forward to improve its current spaces; maintain its reputation as one of the best presenting organizations in the country for dance; expand programs for all ages and skills; and strengthen the financial underpinning that will sustain Dance Place’s spirit of creativity for the next thirty years.

General Support funds every aspect of our season including our prolific performance series, our three Resident Dance Companies, our Internships for young adults and much more!

Dance Place is one of the most diverse and prolific dance presenters in the U.S. featuring outstanding emerging and established artists from our region, across the nation and abroad. Performances in our home theater in Brookland, area theaters, community centers and schools bring audiences of all ages a first class, intimate experience.

NEXTgeneration Youth Programs give over 25,000 local youth and families access to dance, creative education, and scholarships through our camps, workshops, performances, classes and more!

Dance Place’s NEXTgeneration Youth Programs are an essential part of our mission and are integrated into every aspect of our organization as a theater, school and community center. The NEXTgeneration programs help young people realize the creative possibilities in their lives with dance instruction, academic enrichment, life skills and job training.

The Hyman M. Perlo Fund for Education & Culture honors Hyman M. Perlo’s vision of a better society by investing in our children and nurturing their talent.

Contributions to this Fund support extensive cultural endeavors and our NEXTgeneration Youth Programs for children and teens.
