SUMMARY:Christopher K. Morgan + Malashock Dance Residency & Masterclass
DESCRIPTION:Image Description: Against a purple background\, the words Heart Stück Bernie appear in a gold-yellow color. Underneath\, in a bright pink color\, the title “Wolver Maroon” is written. Below\, a black splatter image creates an impression of a wolf silhouette\, with bright pink dots to make eyes. \nPhoto Credit: Heart Stück Bernie \n \n \n \n Heart Stück Bernie \n \n \n \n July 11 & 12 at 7pm & July 13 at 4pm \n \n \n \n Wolver Maroon is a feminine howl at the blood moon. An excavation and activation of caretaking via gossamer dreams\, it kisses and lightly asphyxiates between prayer\, wreckage\, grief-stricken entrails\, and a devastatingly soigné bite. It is Heart Stück Bernie’s newest dance theater work that sings from base\, fanged udders and wily survivalism of darkest hours—to spun-out phantasmagoric spectacle. From stark solo moments to a raucous ensemble of 30\, it includes art direction from Ben Furgal\, lighting from Ben Levine\, costumes by Claire Alrich and Faryn Kelly\, a life size Lite Brite\, and a first aid kit for existential whys to question\, upend\, carry\, and hold us all accountable for day on the other side of night. This presentation includes explicit language and some mature content around the reality of caregiving. The Sunday matinee will change explicit language to a PG version. Wolver Maroon was made possible by the New England Foundation for the Arts’ National Dance Project\, with lead funding from the Doris Duke Foundation and the Mellon Foundation. This presentation is also supported by the Carla Perlo Fund for Choreography and Performance\, established by the Howard and Geraldine Polinger Family Foundation.  						\n \n \n \n \n \n \n PURCHASE TICKETS HERE\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Thank you to our 2024-2025 Season Supporters!
