Brenna Dames

Brenna Dames (she/her) currently teaches both Beginner and Intermediate Adult Ballet at DancePlace. She has been dancing since the age of 5 and spent her summers over the years at Point Park University, Harid Conservatory as well as Kaatsbaan International Dance Center. Brenna graduated from Elon University in 2015 with a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography and a BA inPolitical Science. In the DC area, she has performed with alight dance theater, ReVision Dance Company and most recently Ava Delasanta. Brenna spent many years working at Dance Place in the Education department before transitioning to the American Political Science Association. She has been teaching dance in school and studio settings since she was 17 years old.

 

Class description: 

Intermediate 

In this intermediate level class, we will explore ballet technique to the sounds of pop music. We start at barre where we will build a strong foundation before continuing on to center and across the floor. All experiences, gender expressions, and bodies are welcome. 

Beginner 

In this beginner level class, we will learn the foundation of ballet technique and terminology while using pop music. All experiences, gender expressions, and bodies are welcome.
