About New Releases
Every year, Dance Place hosts a mixed-bill showcase designed to nurture and celebrate the incredible talent of DMV-based emerging choreographers. New Releases offers a supportive space for college students, emerging artists, and working professionals to share their latest creations, and grow within their choreographic practice. Enjoy the full spectrum of emerging talent!

Interested in applying for the 2026 New Releases Emerging Choreographers Showcase? Dance Place invites choreographers based in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) region to audition for our New Releases Choreographer’s Showcase. Audition applications are due January 5th, 2026 by 11:59PM.
